Fine scarce second pattern by WD & S (William Dowler & Son) bearing 1914 Birmingham hallmarks. Resting in thistle sprays, a saltire bearing a tower with lion and flag (from the Arms of Newcastle) over “TYNESIDE SCOTTISH” tablet; the Lion with both hind legs on the tower. Replacement stout pin to reverse.
