Good scarce die-stamped white metal City Arms on brass “MANCHESTER” scroll bearing oval “2ND VB” above. Two  loops
Originally formed as 6th Lancashire (1st Manchester) Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1859. HQ in Stretford Road, Hulme. 2nd VB served in the Boer War and was awarded the honour South Africa 1900-02. Became 6th Battalion in 1908.
